Urge Fisher, IL Village Board to Remove Double-Sided No Parking Signs

Urge Fisher, IL Village Board to Remove Double-Sided No Parking Signs

The Issue

We stand as residents in Fisher, Illinois sharing a pressing concern: the sudden proliferation of no parking signs on both sides of our streets. These signs emerged without warning, causing trouble for families like ours. As parents to a growing family, gradually accumulating more vehicles for our young drivers, the signs pose an overwhelming challenge.

Our yard, once a hub for family gatherings, has been involuntarily transformed into a parking lot to accommodate our excess cars. We moved here with the promise of a serene neighborhood, free from the clutter of parked cars on yards. The introduction of the signs, however, has forced us to place a car in the yard most days, an unsightly sight that devalues the charm of our neighborhood and violates the goodwill among neighbors.

Evidently, this situation extends beyond our personal predicament and disrupts the communal image of Heritage area. As families grow and acquire more cars, it's absolutely essential that the Village Board of Fisher consider imposing restrictions only on one side of the roads across the locale. The current restriction fails to cater to the demands of bigger families and disrupts the aesthetic appeal of our community space.

Let’s stand together to address this issue. We call upon all residents of Sangamon and Lincoln St. and beyond who share this concern to sign this petition. Together, we can urge the Fisher, IL Village Board to revise their parking regulations. By doing so, we ensure that everybody's needs are met, and our neighborhood's beauty is preserved. Sign now to action an essential change in our community.
