Personal experiences often mirror broader community concerns. Like many, I find myself still under a blanket of snow with untouched sidewalks after being off the whole week. The outside temperatures remain freezing, making outside activities, including walking to school, hazardous. Would it not be safer and more logical to cancel the school day under FCPS?

Our call is simple: priorotize the safety of the students and staff over schedule maintenance. We recognize the importance of education, but we also know health and safety are paramount.
