I have seen some very close calls in the last few days. Unfortunately, I think  it’s going take someone getting seriously injured or killed before city council actually listens to us.
Years back I was in a vehicle accident. I had an ETS bus hit me in a crosswalk on Victoria trail. I’m very sensitive to horn honking, well and vehicles driving at me now, go figure. Unfortunately, everybody is so angry horns are going off often on Hermitage Road much more often.
I don’t think most people realize the speed limit is still 50 km other than the school zones so we have people doing 30 km and cars lining up behind them honking.

I saw a bus tried to pull over to pick up riders on the part of hermitage road that still has buses. The bus pulled over and heard  a lot of tires squealing people didn’t realize the buses were gonna be pulling over.
I give it one month before someone seriously injured due to road rage or killed.
I have sent videos to a city Council member of a the road rage incident I was involved in.
I don’t think it matters how many people are going to sign the petition mayor Sohi he has made up his mind. He wants to waste OUR money.
I know the few people like and want the bike lanes. This Isn’t about our wants this is about what people need. People deserve a non-hostile environment to live in we don’t have that here anymore. Homeowners deserve sidewalks to be paid for with our property taxes. We don’t have that anymore. We deserve to have council that will listen to us and we don’t have that anymore.
Many different communities are complaining about several issues with bike lanes. The city is not listening they don’t care. Yesterday I had a mother of four tell me she had to walk four blocks with her four children to get her to her vehicle because of bike lanes. This is coming to your neighbourhood.
We really need to share and get more signatures on this petition.
