The Issue

It was a quintessential family tradition for us. Every so often, we'd gather at the East Troy House, eagerly anticipating our favorite dish: the creamy, nutty, and incredibly flavorful pesto pasta. Regrettably, on our latest visit, we discovered it was no longer on the menu. Disappointment washed over us like a tidal wave. For so many families like ours, this wasn’t just a meal—it was a warm, welcoming interlude in busy lives and a cherished ritual that bonded loved ones.

East Troy House has been a beloved institution in our community for years, drawing people from far and wide not just for its atmosphere but for its distinctive and varied culinary offerings. The pesto pasta was symbolic of this culinary diversity. It captivated taste buds with its rich blend of fresh basil, parmesan cheese, pine nuts, and garlic, all united in a luscious sauce over perfectly al dente pasta. This dish wasn’t merely food—it was a memory, an experience, and a joy.

For those who haven’t had the pleasure of trying it, the pesto pasta was truly one-of-a-kind, blending the freshness of local, seasonal ingredients with the skillful craftsmanship of the East Troy House's chefs.

Join me in urging the management of East Troy House to consider reintroducing this beloved dish.
