Living in an area populated with many Armenian speakers and encountering them often in daily life and at work, the language barrier between us has proven to be a challenge. I would love to converse fluently with the Armenians in my community. With this in mind, I urge Duolingo, a renowned language learning platform, to introduce an English to Armenian language course.

Additionally, this request is not solely personal. There is a glaring need to foster more comprehensive and accommodating language courses. According to the 2016 American Community Survey, there are more than 485,000 Armenian speakers in the United States, an increase of approximately 38% since 2000 (U.S Census Bureau). Clearly, the ability to bridge the gap between English and Armenian speakers has the potential to foster a more inclusive and understanding society.

Duolingo's mission to develop free, educational language courses has revolutionized language learning in the digital era. It has the power to bring languages to those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to learn them. An English to Armenian course will not only enrich the cultural understanding of many individuals like myself but also resonate with Duolingo's vision to make education free, fun, and accessible to all.
