This petition comes from a deeply personal place, driven by an unsinkable fondness for a cast member that embodies the vision and spirit that Walt Disney originally intended for Disneyland. The cast member in question is not just an ordinary employee. He's a US military veteran who has penned a heartwarming book describing his transformative journey while working at Disneyland. His inspiring story, coupled with a constant smile, has touched not only his fellow cast members but has also created magical memories for countless guests. 

Sadly, this invaluable personality is no longer part of Disneyland, and we believe this decision must be amended. He was terminated under the pretense of not receiving labor relations "permission" to write this autobiography during the pandemic! His book, which I have since read, showers nothing but praise for Disneyland and his love for this great company! Phil's absence leaves the Galaxy's Edge without its top flight instructor and almost everyone's favorite Smuggler and notably bereft of the genuine magic he injects into the atmosphere. To us, and many others, Disneyland is not the same without him!

Disneyland, as of 2019, was the largest single-site employer in the U.S, with over 200,000 employees (source: US Bureau of Labor Statistics). Amongst such a large workforce, it's rare to find a gem who distinguishes themself with such impactful involvement. His smile, his book, and his story continually add to Disney's charm and make the guest experience unique.

A prevalent theme in Disney movies and parks is dreams coming true. As made clear in his book, Phil getting this job at Disney fulfilled an at the time unrealized dream of Phil's! In line with this, we urge Disneyland to reemploy this exceptional US military veteran whose dedication and spirit have deeply impacted thousands.
