Urge Crayola to Reinstate Watercolor Refills

Urge Crayola to Reinstate Watercolor Refills
The Issue
The recent shift away from Crayola’s reliable watercolor refills has left a significant void in elementary art education. As an art teacher passionately invested in my students' creative journeys, I have observed first-hand the struggles and disappointments caused by the substitute products currently available on the market. These replacements not only stick together and often remain sticky after "dried" on paper, but have also surprisingly attracted ants, creating an unsuitable classroom environment for nurturing creativity.
Crayola watercolors, with their vibrant hues and consistent quality, have long been a staple in fostering young artists’ growth and imagination. The absence of these high-quality refills has forced teachers and students alike to settle for inferior supplies, limiting the artistic potential and learning experiences that are so vital at this stage of education.
Quality art supplies are more than just tools; they are vehicles of expression for budding talents. By bringing back the reliable watercolor refills, Crayola can reaffirm its commitment to education and creativity, ensuring that students everywhere have access to materials that meet their needs and inspire their imaginations.
Art education is crucial for developing minds, and access to dependable materials is essential. We call on Crayola to stand by elementary art teachers and students across the country by reinstating their valuable watercolor refills. Let’s bring back the foundation of quality art education.
When I reached out to Crayola they said the did not plan to return to production of their watercolor refills unless they heard from a large customer base that they were in demand.
Please join me in urging Crayola to bring back their unparalleled watercolor refills, so that teachers and their students can continue to thrive in creative pursuits without compromise. Sign this petition to make a difference today.
