Urge Coca Cola HBC to Include Albanian Language in Campaigns and products

Urge Coca Cola HBC to Include Albanian Language in Campaigns and products
The Issue
As an Albanian citizen in North Macedonia, I feel deeply marginalized by the current exclusion of my language from Coca Cola North Macedonia's marketing efforts. Our beautiful country of North Macedonia is a melting pot of cultures, yet this diversity is not being celebrated by one of the world's largest brands.
According to the 2021 census, North Macedonia is composed of a rich tapestry of ethnicities: 58.4% Macedonians, 24.3% Albanians, 3.9% Turks, and 2.5% Roma. The Albanian community is the second largest, representing nearly a quarter of our nation's population. Recognizing the significance of the Albanian language, it has been granted official status as the second most spoken language. Despite these facts, Coca Cola North Macedonia runs its 'Share a Coke' campaign exclusively in the Slavo Macedonian language utilizing the Cyrillic alphabet, neglecting the Albanian consumers.
This lack of representation is not just an oversight; it sends a message to a significant segment of the population that their language and culture are not valued. Representation matters, and it is crucial for multinational companies to acknowledge the diversity of their markets.
By boycotting these products, as an Albanian, I urge Coca Cola HBC to start including Albanian language options in their campaigns. This inclusion would not only reflect respect for the Albanian community but also illustrate Coca Cola's commitment to diversity and inclusion, hallmarks of its global brand identity.
Please join me in calling for Coca Cola HBC to respect its multicultural consumers and promote inclusivity by signing this petition. Our shared goal is to raise awarness that Coca Cola North Macedonia is disrespecting and ignoring a large portion of Albanian consumers . As result we call for a boycot of Coca Cola Nothr Macedonia products until the diversity of this specific market is recognized and respected. Let's make our voices heard and advocate for a fair representation for all. Sign and support this important change.
