The Issue

It is personal to me because China and many other places are normalizing eating animals that shouldn’t be eaten; on top of that, they are allowing their own people to brutally kill innocent lives. Animals are a representation of living, they don’t bother anyone nor hurt any humans, so why should we? If this is not sickening to you, then you aren’t completely right in the head. Leave innocent animals alone! Don’t attack them for fun nor to eat them. We must do something for those who can’t talk!

China, known for its rich culture and history, sadly harbors a dark reality for animals, specifically dogs and cats. The lack of protection laws makes these animals vulnerable to abuse and cruel practices, including being raised for food under horrendous conditions. The Yulin Dog Meat Festival is a notorious event that shockingly shines the spotlight on this issue. Annually, thousands of dogs are reportedly slaughtered for human consumption during the festival, according to humanitarian groups like Humane Society International.

This barbaric treatment does not represent the values of empathy and coexistence many of us uphold. While other countries move towards ethical and humane treatment of animals, China largely remains without comprehensive animal welfare laws that protect pets from cruelty and unwarranted death.

Our demand is simple: The Chinese government must enact and enforce stringent animal protection laws, particularly focusing on domesticated animals such as dogs and cats. These laws should prohibit slaughter and ensure abusive acts are punishable by significant penalties. With worldwide support, this call to action can no longer be ignored.

It’s time for China to step up as a global leader in animal rights. Standing together, we can push this ongoing battle to the forefront of international human interest and demand change.

Your signature could be the catalyst for a new era of compassion in China. Join us in urging the Chinese government to protect these voiceless beings by instituting laws against animal cruelty. Sign this petition today and stand as a voice for the voiceless!

Miriam APPetition StarterI want to bring this petition to people's attention, the lives of innocent animals how they're being brutally harmed in China, which has no laws to protect these poor animals. It's not right to normalize eating and harming cats and dogs!
