Urge CEMC Officials to Combat Cheating and Uphold Euclid Contest Integrity

The Issue

I am a passionate lover of mathematics who has dedicated months to self-study for the Euclid Contest. My efforts, along with those of countless others, are being undermined by the actions of cheaters. This is not just a personal issue; it's an affront to all participants who invest time and energy into this prestigious competition.

The integrity of the Euclid Contest is at stake. Cheating not only devalues the hard work put in by honest participants but also threatens the credibility of this esteemed contest that has been held annually since 1963.

We call upon officials from The Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing  (CEMC) to take decisive action against cheating.

Thus, We advocate for systematic change in conducting a throughout independent investigation regarding the source of this international cheating scandal.

We urge CEMC officials to implement stricter monitoring measures during contests and harsher penalties for those found guilty.

We appeal for uniform testing time for international and Canadian students, restrict access to contest papers, secure international transportation, and utilize tamper-evident seals.

We call for public awareness of mass cheating in not only the Euclid Contest but also the scandals that happened in last year’s AMC10&12 and similar competitions.

For us math enthusiasts to continue participating in fair competitions that value our dedication and hard work, we need your help. Please sign this petition urging CEMC officials to combat cheating and uphold the integrity of the Euclid Contest.
