Urge CBSE to Abolish Additional Charges for Revaluation

The Issue

As a deeply concerned student, I have witnessed fellow students suffer the stress and financial burden imposed by the flawed evaluation process implemented by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Many students, dissatisfied with their grades, have resorted to paid revaluations. The reality of students paying 100 rupees per question and between 500 to 700 rupees per subject for revaluation, coupled with notable grade improvements post-revaluation, highlights an unsettling truth- answer sheets are not being checked properly.

Anecdotal evidence suggests an average increase of 5-10 marks after revaluation, indicating a significant margin of error in the initial evaluation. To add to the injury, who are burdened with the cost of this rectification. The current practice amounts to charging students for the mistakes made by the evaluation system. This is deeply distressing for the student community.

The CBSE, committed to "ensuring a child-friendly, stress-free and conducive learning environment,” should strive to rectify the discrepancy in its grading system. The two crucial steps to enforce this mission statement are - abolishing the additional charges for revaluations, and improving its answer sheet evaluation process to avoid the need for revaluations.

Join hands to call upon CBSE to eradicate these add-on revaluation fees and to enhance their quality of answer sheet evaluations. Let's put a stop to this undue financial and emotional stress on students. Sign the petition if you stand for fairness and the much-needed reform in CBSE's grading system.
NOTE: Please share this is as much as you can with all your friends that went throught the same problem and ask your family members or anyone you know to share this among their friends. Thanks for all the support.
