Urge Canadian authorities and government to secure the safe return of my children
The Issue

My name is Thuy Nguyen. I am a mother of three asking Canadian authorities to protect my children and help bring them safely home.
In July 2024, we fled Poland after domestic abuse and discoveries concerning my former partner’s alleged involvement in drug trafficking and organized crime. Canadian police warned me not to return because of threats to my safety. Yet, in September 2024, my children were returned to Poland under a Hague Convention court order. I remained in Canada.
Journalist Jordan Michael Smith has confirmed to me that my former partner became an RCMP informant and that his cooperation most likely led to the removal of his INTERPOL Red Notice.
If authorities could negotiate his cooperation, where is our protection? Where is my deal?
I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for a concrete plan to protect my children and reunite us. I fear we were exposed to danger through his alleged criminal activity and again through cooperation that could create retaliation risks. Neither my children nor I knowingly chose either situation.
How were police warnings considered when my children were returned? What safeguards were put in place? What responsibility will Canadian authorities take now?
I ask the RCMP and Global Affairs Canada, working with my lawyers, to seek his cooperation in returning our children safely to my care in Canada, subject to the necessary legal approvals and their best interests.
I also request independent review of how our safety was handled, a named contact to coordinate protection, and a written response explaining the steps authorities will take.
This petition does not ask police to override courts. It asks them to use every lawful avenue available.
Please sign for meaningful action, independent accountability, and safe reunification. If authorities could work toward an arrangement with him, they should work toward protection and a lawful solution for us - the surviviors and true victims in this case.
