The Issue
I am writing this petition out of personal frustration and disappointment. Like many others, I have invested thousands of dollars in Bose's SoundTouch products, only to learn that Bose plans to discontinue cloud support for these systems. From February 18, core features such as integrated music services (including Spotify and TuneIn) and multi-room playback will no longer be available. This is deeply concerning as it renders our purchases obsolete, stripping away the very functionality we were promised and relied upon.
The decision by Bose threatens to reduce these sophisticated, high-end speakers to just another Bluetooth or AUX device, detracting from the advanced, technologically integrated experience many of us sought when choosing Bose. This planned obsolescence not only affects product functionality but also devalues the considerable financial investments in this premium brand.
We feel strongly that Bose has a responsibility to honor its customers' initial investment by continuing to support the core features of their products as promised.
Continuing support for the SoundTouch app and cloud services will preserve the integrity and reputation of the Bose brand, reassure loyal customers, and ultimately promote longer-term brand commitment and customer satisfaction. It is essential for Bose to recognize the significance of maintaining its relationship with its consumer base, built on trust, innovation, and quality.
We urge Bose to reconsider this decision, allowing those who have been loyal to the brand to continue enjoying the features they paid for.
