Thanks once again to everyone who has signed so far.

The image accompanying tonight’s update shows the Town Deal website front page. Top right is the invitation to “Get involved and have your say”. You can’t click on those words and go to a forum to comment though. There is a frequently asked questions section. You can click on that and go to a page where the Town Deal answers the question they want to answer, but there is no opportunity on that page as far as I can see to pose the questions you might want answered. The documents library has useful information. There are links to social media. However, despite the slick presentation and gestures there are no meaningful efforts to engage with the general public and ask them what they want.

More leaflets have been distributed today. Again, people who have chatted today do not support the VPG, leisure centre and library museum plans as they currently stand, despite what we are told by ERYC, GTC and GTBD that these are fantastic projects and developments.
