As minor kids ourselves, we cannot fathom the horror faced by our innocent counterparts in Gaza -- where children, just like us, or any other child in the world, are facing the unbearable reality of dying-alive through 'systematic starvation' being employed as a weapon of or war -- being shot in their cradles -- witnessing the gruesome sight of their peers' mutilated bodies. This is a plea for humanity, a clarion call for emergency mobilisation to the world leaders such as Catherine Russell, the Executive Director of the UNICEF, Antonio Guterres, the UN Secretary General, the global hierarchies, as well as, to the collective conscience of the world.

Infanticide in Gaza is much, much-more-than a political crisis; it is a 'critical humanitarian emergency' in it's every single facet -- and in the every single moment that is passing away. The UNICEF report notes that thousands of children have been killed, injured and even shredded during the conflicts in Gaza over the past 14 months (UNICEF, 2024). However, statistics fail to capture the magnitude of the trauma these events inflict upon each individual child. Each number represents a life that was cut short prematurely, a childhood disrupted, an innocent paying the price of a conflict they did not create.

We, the two minor siblings; Ubaidah al Fidhdha Hafiah and Ghulam Bishar Hafi, therefore, call upon the responsible authorities to diligently and promptly act in defending the most vulnerable and helpless victims -- the 'horror-struck children of Gaza'. It is our moral obligation to protect the lives of these innocent beings. They depend on us for their survival and security. They shouldn't bear the brunt of the crises inflicted by the adults.

'Over-n-above to all' of what is usually referred as 'part-n-parcel of the war or war like situations', an enormous chain of well-delibrated attacks, which were quite mercilessly destined to the schools, maternity centers, kindergartens and the hospitals as well. This 'well-thought-out' chains of attacks is exactly, what by every description and definition, qualifies to be termed and referred as a 'systematic infanticide'.

Undeniably, hundreds of thousands of children are those who have been orphaned alongside a reasonable number of those who have completely been left-alone after having whole of the family members martyred. Some other thousands of the small innocents are those who have got lifelong disabilities,  and are now left with nothing more than the 'surviving breaths' with them...!

These 'left-lone disable orphans' immediately need, not only the 'essential infantile security' and care, on an emergency basis, but also the prompt measures to respond the overwhelmingly deep-traumatized condition of these 'long-horror-strucked' innocents.

The UNICEF reports have already noted that thousands of children have been killed, injured and even shredded during the conflicts in Gaza over the past 19 months (UNICEF, 2024). However, statistics fail to capture the magnitude of the trauma these events inflict upon each individual child. Each number represents a life that was cut short prematurely, a childhood disrupted, an innocent paying the price of a conflict they did not contributed to.

On behalf of these still 'un-numbered' innocent left-alones, we urge hereby, and extend this appeal to the UNICEF'S Executive Director Catherine and the UN's Chief Antonio Guterres,  for emergency mobilization to address the pressing most concerns in this regard.

In order to bring forth the serious considerations concerning the critical most emergency phase of our time, let's sign the petition today, and take a stand for these left-alone innocents. Every signature makes a difference. Your voice can help save lives of the innocent children as well as amplify our 'voice for the voiceless'.
