Their expertise has been instrumental in ensuring the safety of our community during times of unpredictable and volatile weather. Alarmingly, shockwaves were sent across our community recently with the news that Allen Media Group plans for massive layoffs of this crucial team.

Meteorologists play an essential role in society, issuing and broadcasting forecasts that allow individuals and communities to prepare effectively for severe weather conditions. Their value is significantly pronounced in our region, prone to weather extremities, where they alert us to potential threats like tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in advance. Losing this dedicated team would mean losing our primary source of vital, life-saving information.
