The Issue

Being Canadian has been my identity. Alberta, despite its rich resources and distinct culture, is undeniably intertwined with Canada. It's our shared history, spirit, and values that unite this nation. For many Albertans, living in Canada is about belonging to something greater than a single province; it's about a shared heritage that has stood the test of time.

There has been a growing conversation about secession that endangers this unity. Some groups, frustrated with federal policies, white male, Gen X and 50% of the UCP membership  propose a departure from Canada. These separatist notions hurt the very fabric of our nation and undermine the progress we've made together. Alberta is a significant contributor to Canada's economy, creating a symbiotic relationship that benefits both province and country.  But let’s be honest, because we are fortunate enough to have been born or moved here and have all hell for a basement we are somehow better then the rest of Canada?

Let's acknowledge the challenges but deal with them through cooperation and dialogue rather than division. Instead of stepping away, there's potential for Alberta to lead the dialogue on improving our nation as a whole. We can only achieve a future of prosperity by working through our differences, not turning our backs.

Interestingly, some ( Trent ) propose a radical relocation of separatists to Greenland. Though unrealistic, maybe,  it highlights the misguided nature of separation; the resolve should not be escape but engagement. Or it may be a viable alternative.  Good enough for Trump,  good enough for treasonous separatist traitors.

Alberta, let's remain proud Canadians and strengthen our bonds, ensuring a strong, united Canada. Sign this petition to show your support for a unified future.
