We respectfully ask Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) to consider leniency in checking the recently conducted Engineering Chemistry(BAS 102) examination. Numerous students have reported the exam was uncommonly difficult, bordering unfair, which is not in line with the academic goals of the institution. Having a single examination this challenging risks compromising the learning outcomes of the students and may fail to accurately measure their understanding of the subject. We believe it is reasonable that an exam should not be excessively punitive, but should instead be a fair assessment of students' skills and knowledge in a given field. Therefore, we request that AKTU consider either lenient marking or the assignment of grace marks for this particular paper, to ensure that the grading reflects the students' actual understanding of the subject, rather than their ability to withstand an unusually difficult exam.
