My son's life was tragically cut short by a Star Police Officer (Ada County Sheriff) who fired five shots into his back with an AR15 as he walked away. This incident has highlighted the glaring deficiencies in both the training provided to officers prior to such incidents and their ability to de-escalate situations effectively. The Critical Incident Task Force, tasked with reviewing this incident, has done little more than a cursory examination of the events leading up to my son's death. The initial contact protocol was completely disregarded by the officers involved.

It is clear that there is a need for an unbiased third-party review of this case. As residents of Ada County, we must demand accountability and transparency from our law enforcement agencies. We must insist that our Prosecutor push for Idaho Attorney General's Legal team to review this Critical Incident Task Force Investigation.

This isn't just about seeking justice for my son; it's about ensuring that no other family has to endure what we have been through due to lack of proper training or protocol adherence by law enforcement officials.
