I have received a letter to announce the halt in bus transportation services for Island Lake Public school, in the area of Purple Hill and Rolling Hills Drive. I am a very concerned parent of two small children. I believe the intersection of Highway 9 and Rolling Hills is dangerous. I feel it is a major safety concern to expect small children to cross a highway to attend school. The vehicles in this area are driving at high speeds despite the posted limit, and do not consider this a children's crossing.

We the parents and community of this area are outraged that this service is to be discontinued, and have our children's safety put at risk! We ask that this change to bus transportation be reconsidered. Please take a moment and sign this petition before it's too late.
