It is deeply personal to us all - Queen Elizabeth II was an incredible woman who reigned for decades and made a significant impact on the monarchy and the world. Her tireless dedication to her role and her indisputable imprint on history reverberates today, even after her passing. Her legacy, however, is facing a threat from a most unexpected source. The late Queen explicitly stated that the title of the Duchess of Sussex must not be used for financial gain. Yet, now a non-working ex-royal, Meghan, stands accused of exploiting the title through affiliate links, products, social media, and more, thereby steering clear from the queen's last wishes. This misuse is in direct opposition to the dignity and decorum of the monarchy that the late Queen spent her life upholding. It is also against the respect that Queen Elizabeth II steadfastly maintained for royal traditions. Having left the royal family after a mere 72 days, and embarking on a campaign that appears to discredit the Royals, Meghan's actions serve as a tarnish on all that Queen Elizabeth II built. It is high time that action is taken to preserve the sanctity of the revered institution that is the British monarchy, and more importantly, to honor the wishes of an exemplary queen who devoted her entire life to her duty.
