Three major  Ethiopian media outlets, Ethio 360 media, Addis Dimts and Baro Tube, without any prior warning or notifications, have been unfairly and unlawfully terminated by YouTube. This action not only violates YouTube's own rules and regulations but also undermines the principles of fairness and freedom of expression that should be upheld in our digital age.

Here are the key points highlighting the unjust nature of this termination:

♦️ 1- Lack of Warning and Notifications: 

YouTube is expected to adhere to a set of guidelines and procedures when it comes to enforcing its policies. Terminating channels without providing any prior warning or notifications not only goes against their own policies but also denies content creators a chance to rectify any potential issues.

♦️ 2- Violation of YouTube Rules and Regulations:

If YouTube claims that these media outlets violated its rules and regulations, it is their responsibility to clearly communicate the nature of the violations and allow the channels an opportunity to address these concerns. Terminating channels with their new channel studios compounds this injustice further.

YouTube is a platform that millions rely on to express their views, share information, and engage in discourse. By arbitrarily terminating these media outlets, YouTube is stifling free speech and limiting the diversity of voices on its platform.

We, the undersigned, call upon YouTube to review and reconsider its decision to terminate these media outlets and their new channel studios. We ask for a transparent and fair process that upholds the principles of free expression, accountability, and respect for the platform's own policies.

Ethio 360 Media, Addis Dimts Multi Media, and Baro Tube, three prominent media outlets that have collectively garnered over 1 million subscribers. 

This decision to restrict access to these platforms has significant implications for freedom of expression, access to information, and the broader implications for our society.

The impact of this blockage can be summarized in several key points:

Blocking these media outlets limits the freedom of speech and the press, which are fundamental rights in any democratic society. Citizens have the right to access diverse sources of information and form their own opinions. The blockage undermines this crucial democratic principle.

These media outlets played a vital role in disseminating news, information, and diverse perspectives. By restricting access, we are depriving the public of the opportunity to stay informed about critical issues affecting our country.

A healthy democracy thrives on a diverse and pluralistic media landscape. The blockage hinders the ability of citizens to access a variety of viewpoints and engage in constructive debates.

The media industry employs numerous individuals and contributes to the economy. The blockage negatively affects the livelihoods of those working in the media sector and related industries.

Such actions can draw international attention and raise concerns about the state of democracy and human rights in our country. 

It will harm also our international reputation and relationships.

In light of these consequences, we, the undersigned, urge the relevant You Tube authorities to reconsider the decision to block Ethio 360 Media, Addis Dimts Multi Media, and Baro Tube. We believe that a more inclusive and open approach to media is essential for our society's progress and democratic values.
