Urgent Update Regarding Media Access in Ethiopia particularly for people of Amhara
Dear Readers,
I wanted to bring to your attention an important matter that concerns the well-being of the Amhara people. As many of you are aware, the situation in Ethiopia has been challenging, with various regions facing unrest and conflict.
Recently, three major media outlets, namely Ethio 360 Media, Addis Dimts, and Baro Tube, with a combined subscriber base of over one million, have been blocked. This has raised concerns about the spread of information and the accessibility of news, especially with regards to the ongoing challenges faced by the Amhara people.
The Amhara people have been subjected to attacks and unrest, and it is crucial that they have access to accurate and timely information. These media outlets have played a significant role in raising awareness and shedding light on the situation.
Blocking them can hinder the dissemination of vital information, which may have adverse effects on the Amhara people and their ability to connect with the world.
We kindly request your support in highlighting this issue and advocating for the restoration of media access. By doing so, we can help ensure that the Amhara people receive the information they need to stay informed and connected during these challenging times.
Your voice matters, and together, we can make a difference. Please consider signing our petition to raise awareness about this issue and to stand in solidarity with the Amhara people.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
The three major media outlets
