Many community members have accessed or been a part of the Penola swimming community, having enjoyed countless hours of fun, wellness, and social interaction at our local public pool. Over time, it has become increasingly noticeable that our beloved pool is in need of considerable upgrades and redevelopment.

Providing access to health and recreation is essential within a community. Our public pool serves not just as a place to cool off during the hot summer months, but also as a hub for wellness activities, family gatherings, and community events. However, it is currently lacking in facilities and structural integrity, including very limited access, only being open in Summer months.

To ensure our local pool can continue meeting the needs and aspirations of our community, we seek its modernization and redevelopment. Elements such as pool accessibility for the elderly and people with disabilities, improved  facilities, and overall structural updates are needed.
