The Issue

Growing up in the heart of Tullahoma, the neighborhood was more than just a place to live; it was a community that fostered friendships and memories. The centerpiece of our neighborhood, Jefferson Street Park, was where it all began for many of us. We spent countless hours swinging, sliding, and imagining on the now-aging playground, building not just castles but lifelong friendships.

Today, Jefferson Street Park remains a vital part of our community, but it requires significant improvements to continue being a safe and engaging place for the next generation. The current lack of modern play equipment and the deterioration of existing structures pose safety risks and limit the park's usability for children and families.

It's time we band together once more, as we did as children, to advocate for necessary upgrades to Jefferson Street Park. We are calling on the City of Tullahoma to fund and implement essential improvements. These include installing new swings, slides, and other safe modern play equipment, along with regular maintenance and safety evaluations to ensure the park meets today’s standards.

By improving the park, we are investing in a community space that will continue to nurture the minds and bodies of our children, just as it did ours. Let's ensure that Jefferson Street Park remains a place where children can play safely, families can gather, and memories can be made.

Join us in calling for action by signing this petition and help transform Jefferson Street Park into a rejuvenated, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone. Your signature can make a significant impact on our community's future. Let's create a legacy of play and laughter for generations to come. Please sign and share this petition today!
