My daughter was so sick and I called the ambulance because she was crying so much with pain. We waited nearly 1 hour for an ambulance, which then took us to Hawkesbury Hospital, the closest one. It has few beds but it was so crowded they didn't take my daughter in and she was left on the ambulance trolley for hours, then moved to a chair, and finally sent out to the waiting room. After a blood test, we were back in the waiting room at midnight because they had nowhere to accommodate patients.

The Hills Shire is growing rapidly with a population of over 207959 people which is increasing by the rate of 4.6% and above  (Australian Bureau of Statistics). Our community deserves better healthcare facilities that can handle emergencies efficiently without long wait times or overcrowding. Upgrading or building new hospital facilities in The Hills Shire will ensure timely medical attention and proper care for all residents.
