The issue

We, the local residents and dog owners of Gorokan and surrounding areas, respectfully petition Central Coast Council, MP David Harris, and MP Emma McBride to support Regular Maintenance, installation of Drainage and much-needed water stations at Helen’s Reserve Dog Park, Gorokan.

While this space is cherished by our community, it currently lacks essential facilities that would make it safer, cleaner, and more accessible for all visitors - both human and canine.

We are asking for the following improvements:

- Drainage in both Small (under 10kgs) and Big Dog (over 10kgs) Parks, water pooling is a current Hygiene, Health and Safety RISK.

Due to the lack of drainage Mud is building up as a result of recent heavy rains and imminent weather conditions typically forecasted in the cooler months.

- Taps or Watering stations for potable drinking water for all dogs and visitors.

These enhancements will make Helen’s Reserve a healthier, more inviting environment, especially during warmer months and for older or mobility-limited park users. Many local dog owners visit daily and rely on this park for their pets’ wellbeing and their own community connection.

We ask that you listen to your constituents and act on this widely supported request to improve a much-loved local asset.

Please sign and share this petition to help us show just how important these upgrades are for the Gorokan community. Thank you for your support.

Signatures represent concerned local residents and dog owners local to Gorokan, NSW 2263.
