Upgrade and Expand Coed Hirwaun Play Area for Our Community
Upgrade and Expand Coed Hirwaun Play Area for Our Community
The Issue
The play area in Coed Hirwaun is the only park serving our community, but it is very small and the equipment is outdated.
With a growing number of families in the area, the current park no longer meets the needs of local children. There are also concerns about safety and the limited range of equipment available.
We are calling on the council to prioritise the redevelopment and expansion of this space into a modern, safe, and inclusive park for all ages.
This isn’t a big ask, a lot of parks have had funding for redevelopment and upgrading even if they have been updated within the last ten years. Coed Hirwaun park is at least 25 years old.
A larger, improved park would provide a safe place for children of all ages to play, support physical and mental wellbeing, and strengthen our community.
We ask Neath Port Talbot Council to invest in the future of Coed Hirwaun by upgrading this essential community space.
