The Issue

To the People of the United States of America,
We have seen troublesome times overwhelm our systems, our lives, and our families. While the finger can be pointed at any number of policy arenas (healthcare, economics, criminal justice, etc.), the Human Rights Effort rejects piecemeal solutions and advocates for a genuine review and update to our foundational principles. The Human Rights Effort emphasizes the need for the People to have a stake in their future!
Social Evolution informs all that we do! Social evolution means as we evolve, so too must our institutions! From time to time, the People have the duty to come together, collaborate, and refresh their social operations!
The United States Constitution has not had a thorough review in 200 years. The last amendment to the Constitution was in 1992, and it related to the salary of representatives of Congress.
In law school I found that people were just making up laws as they saw fit, but those people were not actually taking notice of the voices of the people nor effecting the core problems dismantling our system.
As a community of people that have made the decision to share space and resources, it is our prerogative to have a say in how our society's institutions, structures, and systems work and are limited in our lives.
This effort is dedicated to putting the power back in the hands of the people by creating space for their opinions, for collaboration on solutions, and for proactive progress.
With that being said, we, the people, request this Resolution be set before Congress, and the States, to activate a modern-day constitutional convention for and by the People.
