Free Mobile Salon Restrictions in Missouri! No more percentages. No more stationed salons
The Issue
Our world has changed it felt like overnight. A year of no smiles to be seen. What affect did that have on society? Even more now we need to protect our elderly, our disabled, our veterans, our soldiers, our families, our lives and our future.
My grandma had curlers in her hair everyday and lipstick on before she walked out the door. How many of our loved have missed their perms? Their cuts that make them feel. Well like them. This has been their routines longer than I have been alive. Our disabled that simply can not make it to a salon. The veteran with ptsd that can not handle being in an environment other than home. Most can walk into a salon. I want to service those that can not.
Our laws restrict mobile beauty services making it near impossible for us to help those even if we have every piece of knowledge and equipment to make it possible. There is still the law. Laws are made to protect. But they are not perfect. And when crisis like covid hit our world. They should be accommodating and updated.
Mobile salons should share the same restrictions as other mobile services. If a food truck can open and sit on a corner without a restaurant base. A mobile salon should be able to work without a salon base. The overhead is impossible and weekly percentage restrictions hold back the potential of being either fully mobile, or potentially, and most likely turning those down who can’t make it to us. All because our books do not equal the laws idea of where our services should be directed weekly. A percentage.
So here we are!! This petition is to ask that these restrictions be released on sales percentages in a salon vs mobile. If we want to be fully mobile to serve those in need, we should be able to without another outlet. I am asking for signatures to send to Jefferson to show there is a need for this change. That everyone should have the chance to be in a salon setting whether they can physically make it to one. Or one can physically make it to them. We ALL deserve this opportunity. And it shouldn’t be based on a percentage for a stylist to make it happen. With your signature, share, and comments, needs, it can happen!! Let’s do this thank you so much for your support!
