I am a class 11th student, and I feel that there is a need to update and replace NCERT books that are outdated and updated long ago. The prescribed NCERT books were published years ago and the books have too many errors in it. We cannot use these books. The printing is poor, illustrations used are of poor quality, the language used is not up to the mark and every chapter approximately has some or the other mistakes. There is a need to re-write the books, illustrations need to be made attractive, color needs to be added to the books and the quality of the books should be made better. Even if the government has to increase the price of the books to provide us with good quality textbooks they can increase the price of textbooks. The youth is considered the future of a country and the future generation must be provided with good quality books and study material.

No NCERT books have been changed since 2006. NCERT has been using the same textual content for years without having latest information and recent affairs included. Books of Economics and Political Science appear as if they are the books of History. The course as well as the syllabus must be changed. Class 9 Political Science book, class 10 Economics books and class 11 Political Science books are well updated what about the other books. Why were the topics like The Nationalist Movement in Indo-China, Work Life and Leisure ?, were removed that had various factual information in it. Nowadays,no one use formal letters instead they use e-mail and we should be taught how to write an e-mail instead of formal and informal letters. I hereby request NCERT and Ministry of Human Resource and Development that the books must be re- written as per the international standards and accept my suggestions.
