To ease traffic flows & reduce commuter alighting times when arriving at the destination, the 891 (Central to UNSW) and 895 (UNSW to Central) bus routes, these Opal card journeys should be changed to a Tap On Only (No Tap Off) similar to that of the Sydney Ferries Manly service.

With the need to Tap Off it slows down traffic & commuter flows especially at Gate 2 on High Street. There is no difference in the pricing for travelling from Central to either of the 3 UNSW bus stops on High Street (based on sections). Essentially Central to UNSW (891) and vice versa (891/895) is like that of the Sydney Ferries Manly Service where only 1 tap on is required at either Circular Quay or Manly.

One way to make this possible is for Transport NSW to install Opal Card scanners at the 891 bus stop at Central and the 895 bus stop at UNSW for passengers to tap on before boarding.
