Dear Supporters
I am thrilled that so many of you have signed this petition. We are now more than 9200 names! But we need to take a moment to submit a public comment to the current proposal that we have been fighting for! Not enough of us have. March 23rd is the last day to comment.
Please comment on a computer so you can find the right button. First, read the latest UNOS proposal which is less restrictive for PSC patients to receive exception points on MELD scores, then go to the Blue Provide Feedback button. This will take you to a page where you fill out your information and give your support (though I would request the same exception point criteria for both PSC and PBC). I do not know why PBC was excluded.
We need more voices like yours who understand this important topic. Voices who have lived through this MELD score nightmare knowing how much this change would be beneficial. We were so fortunate last September that Rob's MELD score increased by two little points, bringing him to a score of 22 - enough to qualify him for transplant, but he was so sick with PSC for so long. He risked going into surgery so much weaker, but we finally got our second chance. Now we are doing what we can for others.
Change happens one step at a time. Don't give up!
Thank you everyone! We are stronger together!
HERE IS THE LINK ONCE AGAIN!
