Overview

When 27-year-old Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known professionally as Mohbad, died in house under highly suspicious circumstances in September 2023, millions of Nigerians and global citizens rallied for justice. While many acted in good faith, new evidence shows that some prominent figures, including celebrities and influencers, covertly worked to suppress key facts, manipulate public perception, and undermine the investigation all while claiming to be his advocates.

This petition seeks to formally expose these individuals, bring public pressure to demand transparency, and prevent further obstruction of justice.

The “Concerned Citizens Justice for Mohbad” WhatsApp Group

Leaked chats and investigative exposés by “online Police” The Very Dark Man (VDM) have revealed the existence of a private WhatsApp group titled “Concerned Citizens,” which included celebrities and public figures operating under the guise of justice advocacy. However, chat excerpts and public contradictions now suggest that their real goal was narrative control, shielding certain suspects, suppressing DNA/autopsy discussion, and undermining Mohbad’s father.

Identified Members Include:

Iyabo Ojo (Actress)

Tonto Dikeh (Actress )

Samklef (Music Producer)

K-Solo (Music Producer)

Drey (Davido’s PR)

Pumping Sneh (Bella Shmurda’s PR)

Aloma DMW (Former Davido associate)

Jigan Baba Oja (Actor/Musician)

Funmi Mensah (Alleged intermediary)

Key Exposés and Contradictions

1. Tonto Dikeh – Pretending to Be Disengaged from DNA, While Blocking It Privately

In a live session with Daddy Freeze ((https://fb.watch/BcT4IgGee8/?mibextid=z4kJoQ - Nov 2023https://fb.watch/BcT4IgGee8/?mibextid=z4kJoQ, Tonto Dikeh said:

“I don’t have any business with DNA. It’s none of my business. I am not part of the family. It’s the family’s responsibility… We have fought the fight, we are still fighting… It is the family that is supposed to fight it by themselves.”

Yet in the leaked WhatsApp chats, Tonto discouraged members from raising the DNA topic publicly. She was also among those planning a private DNA test while silencing Mohbad’s father’s legal rights. Her selective concern reveals narrative manipulation, not genuine interest.

2. Double Standards on Royalties, Property and Estate Matters

In the same live video, Tonto Dikeh added:

"This man (Mohbad’s father) was busy fighting for land, pretty much fighting for justice for DNA, while the people who murdered his child are out there on the streets now doing charity..."

This paints Mohbad’s father as money-driven — yet in the leaked group chats, Tonto and others are seen discussing Mohbad’s property, estate control, and money management themselves.

So we ask:

If he’s being chastised for talking about land, why were they  privately doing the same?

These are not Mohbad’s blood relatives. What stake do they have in estate discussions if not personal gain or control? Again, how did she know who murdered Mohbad? Why attention wasn’t on those people in the house? Why were they conspicuously not mentioning those on the house with Mohbad?

2. Iyabo Ojo – Saying the Autopsy Result Is Out, Then Feigning Ignorance

During the same live show with Daddy Freeze, Iyabo Ojo stated: https://fb.watch/BcT4IgGee8/?mibextid=z4kJoQ

“We know for a fact he [Mohbad] had a fight with his friend… a little bruise… they called a nurse… he reacted… and then he lost his life. But until the test result comes out, until the autopsy result is out, we cannot say for certainty…”

But in this live chats, she was saying the result is out but to be read in court by the police but in the group they were not advocating for the result but painting narrative to divert our attention. Group members were also quoted saying:

“We don’t want to know the autopsy result.”

This deliberate confusion fuels suspicion. Why would a group demanding justice be uncomfortable with factual clarity?

3. Aloma DMW – Exposed Scapegoating

A direct quote from leaked chats reveals:

“Na the Nurse to take the fall.”

This is not a suggestion based on evidence but a pre-determined scapegoating plan, which strongly suggests knowledge of the real cause and intent to shield others, possibly those inside the house where Mohbad died.

4. Group Collusion & Strategy

Other disturbing group behaviors include:

Efforts to shield Wunmi (Mohbad’s partner) from investigation. They were furious at the deceased’s father appearing in the media that Mohbad died in the house considering the fact that he saw a duvet soaked in blood

Repeated framing of Mohbad’s father as “difficult,” to discredit his calls for DNA and justice

Blocking attempts to discuss paternity, domestic abuse, or forced medication

Targeting influencers like VeryDarkMan, who exposed their actions

5. Contacting DSS, Police & DPP — To What End?

In the leaked group chat, members were openly discussing how they were reaching out to the DSS, Police, and even the Director of Public Prosecutions while the case is still under active investigation and undergoing a coroner’s inquest.

Why the rush? Why are private individuals who are not investigators or legal representatives of Mohbad  trying to coach the police, influence officials, and steer the process?

What legitimate reason do they have to interfere with formal procedures, unless the goal is to manipulate outcomes?

Instead of allowing the institutions to do their job, these individuals appear to be teaching the police how to do it, possibly diverting attention from those in the house with Mohbad or from questions they don’t want answered.

Again, if there’s nothing to hide, why the backdoor influence?

6. In another leaked group chat, Iyabo Ojo stated: “Justice for Mohbad is forever—whoever not only killed him but bullied him physically, financially, and mentally…”

We agree. But if Justice for Mohbad is truly the priority, then we must focus first on those who were physically present during his final moments and Iyabo has subtly stated here that he’s actually killed in the house. Why are we being distracted by outsiders when those directly involved remain unaccounted for?

Why This Matters;

This is not celebrity drama. This is:

•A human rights issue

•A case of a young man's death under suspicious domestic conditions

•An active suppression of forensic and legal facts

•A manipulation of public trust and grief

•These actors did not simply “make mistakes.” They engaged in coordinated deceit, using fame, social capital, and platforms to shape false narratives while pretending to seek justice.

OUR DEMANDS:

We, the undersigned CRITICAL THINKERS, demand:

•A full-fledged investigation into all individuals involved in the leaked WhatsApp group, with particular focus on their actions related to the death of Mohbad and the ongoing justice processes.

•That every group member be invited for interrogation by the relevant authorities, including the Police, DSS, and Coroner’s office, for potential obstruction of justice, interference, or misdirection.

•A public apology from each involved party for misleading the public, spreading false narratives, and attempting to delegitimize genuine calls for truth.

•Full disclosure of all WhatsApp group chats, voice notes, and related communication that pertain to Mohbad’s case  especially those that show strategic collusion, narrative manipulation, or suppression of key facts.

•A formal investigation into whether any group member influenced, tampered with, or compromised the medical, forensic, or legal processes — including the coroner’s inquest, autopsy proceedings, and police investigations.

•The temporary suspension of all advocacy roles or public-facing justice campaigns by group members, pending an independent review to assess their integrity and involvement.

•A comprehensive forensic analysis of the phones, devices, and backups of every group member — to determine the full extent of communication, data deletion, or coordinated efforts to interfere with the case.

Mohbad’s Death Is a Litmus Test

This case will define whether Nigerians can hold public figures accountable, whether truth can stand above influence, and whether justice movements will be owned by people or hijacked by celebrities.

Mohbad’s legacy deserves truth not coverups, distractions, or emotional manipulation. His grieving father deserves to be heard. And the Nigerian public deserves transparency from anyone who dares to lead a movement in their name.

Sign this petition. Stand for justice. Demand accountability.
Let this mark the end of celebrity-led misinformation and the beginning of people-led truth. #JusticeForMohbad
