Unjustifiable Sanctions From Parole

Unjustifiable Sanctions From Parole
Why this petition matters

To whom this may concern,
My name is Jerry Price and on May 28th I was arrested on false charges. I sat in prison for approximately 65 days and my case was withdrawn. All charges were dropped and I was free to go home. Now I’m on Parole so before I could leave I had to have the detainer lifted. (Flashback)…In 2006 I was arrested on Robbery & Kidnapping charges. I was sentenced to 9-18 years in a state penitentiary. While serving time I wrote a book called “Even In The Dark The Sun Still Shines”. I took a online course in psychology (nothing more than knowledge) a course that wasn’t accredited. At age 26 I came home after serving 9 years and I was ready to begin my new life with a new positive mindset. I enrolled in college as a psychology major while also working with my father doing construction work. I completed about 3 semesters of college before dropping out to pursue boxing. I started training at Warriors gym on 12th mifflin. I had a natural talent and I was at that gym faithfully everyday training. After an exhibition fight I had to call it quits for medical reasons. I was sad at first but everything happens for a reason. I started working more odd jobs trying to occupy my time. In 2017 I learned the car game, buying selling and trading cars. 2018 I started my own business “Jp Auto Connect, LLC”. I volunteer every so often and every Sunday I feed the homeless. I assist individuals coming home with finding work, schooling or housing. I am a father of two beautiful girls, I have a beautiful girlfriend and life was for the most part progressive and heading in the right direction. This is some of the things that I’ve accomplished in 8 years of being home from prison. I never had any police contact, no dirty urines, no violations and did every single thing that was asked of me by the parole board successfully. After my case was dismissed and I finally made it home I was ready to hop back on my horse and finish living my life. I’m currently enrolled in Allstate with plans on becoming a CDL driver. I had already missed 2 months so I had some catching up to do. When I went to visit my Parole Officer I was told that I was being place on Intensive Supervision (which means house arrest). They said that I qualified for the program and my only question was how??? My charges were dropped so how can you punish me for a case that doesn’t even exist anymore? I truly believed that Parole was working for me. I used Parole to gain resources and much more. I advocate to men/women who are on Parole to use it to get ahead because it works if you work it. Now the same system that I believed to be working for me is now working against me and punishing me for a case that doesn’t exist! If this can happen to me it can happen to anyone, so let’s put a stop to sanctions from parole that isn’t warranted. I earned what little bit of lead way that I do have and to have to start over is inappropriate and insulting to the person that I am today! What happened to innocent until proven guilty? These people sat around a table with a file in there hand looking at my past charges and the trumped up charges and said I qualify without looking at the person that I am today. They never spoke to my lawyer, the district attorney, the judge or me…they looked at false charges and made a decision on the life that I worked tirelessly to create and uphold. In closing Parole isn’t my enemy, they really helped me out and guided me aright when I was loss and I will forever be grateful. However, what I am saying is that they made the wrong decision and I need your help getting them to see the fault in their error…it could easily be you. If I win my appeal it would mean going back to building my life, my family and my legacy. Yes I made some bad decisions in my life, but I paid my debt to society with 9 years of my life and came home with every intention on doing the right thing. I have and that’s why this doesn’t sit well with me. So please sign, send to a friend, post it on your social media and help me get justice served.
