There isn't enough representation of afro latinos in latino media. By adding more diversity, they start to normalize afro latinos and destroy the racial hierarchy that is in place in a lot of Latin American countries and the Latino community. It is important that latinos that can't white pass see themselves in our own media and are not stigmatized.
