On the 28th of June 2007 Jezebel.com posted an article called "Have You Ever Beat Up A Boyfriend? Cause, Uh, We Have". In this article the author, Tracie Egan Morrissey, talks about how several members of the Jezebel staff, including an editor, have assaulted their boyfriends in the past, one of which in particular made the author "laugh really hard". Portraying domestic violence in such a light only serves to make it more acceptable in society and diminishes the suffering of those who have gone through such an experience. I have created this petition now, more than ten years after the article's publication, as I have only recently stumbled upon it and was appalled that there had apparently been very little pressure on Jezebel with regards to this article. This petition is asking Univision Communications. the owner of Jezebel.com,  to officially apologise for this article, as well as firing those responsible including the author and the editor and all those who bragged about committing domestic violence upon their partners.
