University of Utah: Revoke the Honorary Degree Given to Lynette Gay

University of Utah: Revoke the Honorary Degree Given to Lynette Gay
The Issue
Lynette Gay is a member of two groups designated as anti-LGBT hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center, the World Congress of Families and Family Watch International.
Family Watch International has fought to prevent the U.N. from adopting a broader definition of family that includes LGBT families.
The World Congress of Families, of which Lynette Gay formerly served on the board of directors, resigning only recently after backlash from receiving this degree. The WCF was a prime cause in the passage of Russia's homophobic "gay propaganda" law and a Ugandan law making homosexuality punishable by death, among other homophobic legislation worldwide.
Mrs. Gay has, through these organizations, worked to promote hate and intolerance. She has had a direct role in these organizations which have caused suffering and harm to LGBT individuals.. These are not the values of the University of Utah or its students. Her connections to these groups should not be hidden away; rather they should be front and center as the reason to revoke this honor given to her by the University.
