This petition is for a class in traditional animation to be brought back to the school of ATEC (soon to be ATCM), in particular, for it to be taught by Bruce Barnes, a former teacher at UTD who has already expressed an interested in returning to teach.  Many students within the school of ATEC would be interested of having him return to teach.

In pursuit of progress, the school of Arts and Technology has cut its traditional animation classes. Traditional animation, while no longer seen as viable in the United States, is still of interest to animation students and artists for its human hand and feeling lines. This interest will not die anytime soon, if ever, and in this, promises to make a resurgence in the United States and in our futures.
