Increase the number of blue-light telephones on UT's campus

The Issue

Blue-light telephones are tall poles, indicated with a blue light, that have a button to automatically call the University Police.  Although a few of these are located on UT's campus already, there are not very many and they can sometimes be difficult to locate.  The University could increase students' safety by adding more of these blue-light telephones to both the campus and nearby areas such as West Campus. An increase in these phones will provide a greater feeling of protection for students walking alone on campus, especially at night.  Sign this petition to help promote a safer campus for UT students.
