The University of Tampa has issued an Addendum to the Fall 2020/Spring 2021 Housing Agreement which on-campus students must sign. The Addendum states "Restrictions or closures imposed by the University in response to COVID19 or any other circumstances set forth in this Paragraph does not constitute cancellation of the Housing Agreement or relieve any student from their obligations, including their financial obligations, under the Housing Agreement or any other agreement with the
University and no refund of any housing, dining, tuition or other fees will be provided." The inclusion of this clause that requires students to pay the full amount of their housing and dining fees even in the scenario where the campus closes or restrictions are applied is unfair, to say the least. We want to see that this is amended and that students don't have to unwillingly sign a document which bounds them to unfair financial obligations.
