The Issue

Devin Nottis and Delta Mu have shown through their actions that they believe they are above the law. On October 7, 2014, they broke into a closed zoo and severely injured two flamingos. The two flamingos were so badly beaten that they had to be euthanised. Their social media postings show that they have no remorse, believe that they should not be held accountable under the law, and still think this is a funny joke. Please show the Univ. of Southern Miss. that we will not tolerate this behavior and they should not either.

“Dear Sarah and fellow petitioners: I wanted to personally thank you all for your interest in this most terrible incident that has adversely affected so many. I wanted you to know that the actions you have called for have been accomplished. After a special administrative hearing last Friday, the members of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity were informed on Tuesday of this week that they are no longer in existence at The University of Southern Mississippi. The members have until 5pm today to vacate the fraternity house at which time it will be permanently boarded and closed. Although Federal FERPA regulations will not allow me to share with you the details of the disciplinary record of Mr. Nottis, I can tell you that he is no longer a student at The University of Southern Mississippi. Again, I thank you all for your concern and I would appreciate the conclusion of this worthy petition as its mission has been accomplished. Sincerely; Joseph S.
