With the presence of COVID-19, the University of South Florida made the emergency decision to evict all students from campus and also decided to move to online learning for the remainder of the semester quite late in comparison to many other universities in the region. Since making those decisions, they have offered little to no tangible support to students that can actually help in the most immediate needs: getting home, finding alternate housing, getting access to Internet and/or computers to be able to adequately finish their semesters. Most apparent: USF has yet to issue any sort of announcement indicating a reimbursement of student costs paid for the entirety of the semester.

We urge the University of South Florida to calculate each student's unused semester costs and reimburse them effective immediately. 

We urge the University of South Florida to protect their on-campus student workers and pay out a stipend representing what would be the remainder of their pay since they no longer have access to their jobs. 

The University of South Florida is great because the students are great, and now is the time to show that. Protect your students. Protect them now.
