Last week a Pro-Palestinian article was published in the Sheaf, in which Aléshba Naseer a journalist and a student at the University of Saskatchewan, describes the current events going on in Palestine and as the story of a Palestinian family in Saskatchewan. This week the article was taken down. Aléshba has received backlash from Pro-Israeli supporters who sent emails to the President and Chancellor stating that the article was spreading lies when all it did was educate the public on the ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Palestinian people.

We are creating this petition to demonstrate that Palestinian voices at the University of Saskatchewan will not be silenced. We do not stand for the propaganda spread by the pro-Israeli committees within the university. We demand that the Sheaf re-publish the article into the Sheaf and issue a public apology to the journalist.
