Did you know that the US Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that fields related to environmental studies is growing at a rate much faster than other fields. Our mission is to create a sustainability module for first-year students at the University of Pittsburgh. The sustainability module would teach students about sustainability initiatives on campus and how they can apply sustainability to their everyday lives and professions. In accordance with the goals in the Pitt Sustainability Plan, this module would incorporate sustainability education into all freshman and first year curriculum and would increase sustainability-related service learning opportunities.
