Dick Baddour has wrecked the preemince of UNC athletics numerous times in his 14 year "career" as AD.

In football he has hired two unqualified head coaches (Carl Torbush and John Bunting) as obstensively cost cutting decisions after his failure to retain Mack Brown who had led Carolina to national prominence. When finally forced to hire a name coach, he responded by hiring a known cheater and failed to adequately respond to resulting scandal when said coach allowed the team to sink into a NCAA regulations quagmire, defending him to the hilt then firing him at the immediate start of practice.

In basketball Baddour mishandled the initial courtship of Roy Williams and scrambled to respond by hiring a patently underqualified Matt Doherty. The fact that Roy coaches at UNC now is more despite Baddour than because of him (Thank you Coach Smith).

Dick Baddour is the perfect example of the Peter Principal, and it is time for him to sink back to his level of his competence.
