President Kaplan made the decision to cut the counseling and psychological staff in half because he did not see it as essential in comparison to other things. The staff went from six to three therapists, meaning the last three therapist need to take all the clients from the three that are leaving. This causes scheduling conflicts and making students unable to see therapist on campus. During this time, mental health is even more important. The three therapist that are leaving will have their last day on May 15th. Leaving only three weeks for clients to have a heartfelt goodbye. This petition is for an extension of time and possible an extension of those three therapist contract. Please sign the petition if mental health is important to you or someone you know.
