UNL undergraduate Dan Kleve, a self-avowed white nationalist and fascist, has on more than one occasion advocated violence toward exclusionary political ends. He has been recorded participating in acts of mob violence along with other white nationalists and neo-nazis in Virginia and Tennessee. He has made further, thinly veiled, threats via allusions to the Turner Diaries, Dylann Roof, and James Earl Ray. He has been photographed with violent neo-nazi groups, including Atomwaffen and Vanguard America, and was present in Charlottesville when an a person affiliated with the latter murdered Heather Heyer in broad daylight. Dan Kleve is a violent white nationalist and has repeatedly violated UNL standards of student conduct.

We call upon the administration to go beyond talking shops and "listening tours" and take real action. Dan Kleve should be brought before the Board of Conduct as soon as possible. Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Laurie Bellows should initiate said proceedings against Kleve immediately.

UNL students, staff, and faculty deserve a safe campus free from worry about just when Dan Kleve, who says he "loves violence", will make good on his threats.
