Remove Neo-Nazism from UMass Lowell
The University of Massachusetts Lowell is blatantly permissive of not only racism and hate speech (which they state is protected under Freedom of Speech) but outright criminal activity and Neo-Nazism. They are protecting Liam McNeil, a Waltham High School graduate and current UML student from repercussions for his actions. The University is aware that he has helped found a Neo-Nazism group along with Chris Hood, NSC-131, that's common goal is to "...bring it [the KKK] back for New England," Hood said.
They have participated in the Capitol Insurrection on January 6th, which is proven through his link in encrypted messaging services that Twitter user @AntifaGarfield has connected all of McNeil's activity with. He is responsible for Neo-Nazi vandalism across cities in Massachusetts, and plans to recruit students to join his "white defense force" in order to protect against BLM. "We're pretty much a frat, just racist," McNeil said of NSC-131. "If you're going to start a frat, we suggest the name Kappa, Kappa, Kappa." (In reference to the Ku Klux Klan.)
They are training their members on how to physically fight others with wrestling training from MacNeil himself, on places like Hampton Beach.
One of his cofounders, Chris Hood, stated:
"If you're in college, you should be getting together with all the other guys that think like you and start circling the frat parties and bullying the kids that race mix," said Chris Hood, who founded NSC-131 in 2019, in one of three clips posted by a Waltham-based anti-hate group. "Just start dominating the parties, take over the campus. Same policies as out here, just on campus with the youth."
Speaking as a University of Massachusetts almunus, and recipient of the Chancellor's Medal for Diversity and Inclusion, we the students demand you hold this dangerous individual responsible. Not only for his evidence-backed criminal behavior and violation of the student code of conduct, but also for the disgusting display of white supremacy in an institution that supposedly upholds an expectation of diversity and inclusion on and off its grounds.
