It is important for Knoxville to be a wet campus for the protection of the students. The prohibition like take that Knoxville has enforced against the student body creates a secretive and dangerous abuse of alcohol. The enforcement of the dry campus has created tension and unrest amongst the students and administrations. The usage of alcohol in college is stereotypical yet inevitable, especially in an SEC school with a large tailgating fan base which tends to invoke the use of alcohol. Making the University of Knoxville a wet campus will allow the adult student body to enjoy a privilege that is under law granted to them at the age of 21. As well as liberating the prohibition like "underground" drinking that tends to happen with the withholding of privileges.
